The story behind the song
'Titanic Remembered' is an original composition that tells an epic story through song. The song portrays a hugely important historic event touching on the depth of human emotions that surround the story of the Titanic.
Like so many others, Colum has always had a fascination for the story of the Titanic. He, along with a friend Michael Crowley composed the lyrics, carefully crafting a well rounded story for which Colum wrote an original music score around these lyrics. Colum arranged the piece & John Fitzgerald at Lettercollum Recording Studio Timoleague Co Cork recorded the work over a two-month period.
The excellent standard of musicianship is a feature of this recording & Bill Shanley, John Fitzgerald & Shane Cronin have all contributed to creating this very special piece of musical history. Joining Colum in the chorus are the voices of the male members of Castletown Kinneigh Church Choir.
